Cole’s Ford Bridge

Formerly IN 22

Cole’s Ford Bridge spans the Blue River in Harrison County and Crawford County near Leavenworth. It remains one of the oldest structures of its type and the oldest built by Wrought Iron Bridge Company.

The Bonnell Road Bridge was constructed in 1916 with modifications to improve the turning radius with Burtzelbach Road.

Formerly IN 46 / IN 46

Two spans cross East Fork Tanners Creek – one carrying current-day IN 46, the other a former alignment that is now abandoned.

George Street Bridge

George Street Bridge is located in Aurora and carries George Street over Hogan Creek. The iron bridge, one of the oldest in the state, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Guilford Covered Bridge

The Guilford Covered Bridge is located in Guilford, and crosses East Fork Tanners Creek in the Guilford Covered Bridge Park.

West Fork Tanners Creek Bridge

Formerly Lawrenceburg & Indianapolis Railroad / New York Central Railroad

The West Fork Tanners Creek Bridge formerly carried an older alignment of the Lawrenceburg & Indianapolis Railroad over West Fork Tanners Creek. It was bypassed in 1929-30.

Cedar Grove Bridge

Formerly IN 1

The Cedar Grove Bridge, formerly carrying IN 1, crossed the Whitewater River in Cedar Grove, Indiana. The historic span was demolished by explosives on February 17, 2016.

Tobias Bridge

The Tobias Bridge carries County Route 1350 West over Big Creek. The pin-connected Whipple through truss was constructed in 1885 by the Indianapolis Bridge Company of Indianapolis.

The Bells Branch Road Bridge is located on Bells Branch Road over Laughery Creek between Dearborn and Ohio counties.

Busching Covered Bridge

Busching Covered Bridge is located on County Route 20 South/East Perry Street east of Versailles. The one-lane covered Howe through truss spans Laughery Creek and was constructed in 1885 by Thomas A. Hardman.

Otter Creek Covered Bridge crosses over Otter Creek. Constructed in 1884, the covered Howe through truss was closed to through all automobile traffic in 1996.

The Milroy Bridge formerly carried North Railroad Street and IN 3 over the Little Flat Rock River in Milroy.

Moscow Covered Bridge

The Moscow Covered Bridge carries CR 900S over the Flatrock River in Moscow. Constructed in 1886 by Emmet L. Kennedy, the two-span Burr Arch truss was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Norris Ford Covered Bridge

The Norris Ford Covered Bridge carries CR 300N over the Flatrock River in Rush County, Indiana. The bridge was constructed in 1916 and is the second to last to be built by Emmet L. Kennedy and his sons, Karl and Charles.
