The H.L. Spurlock Power Plant Bridge is a seven span, 700-foot long crossing over Lawrence Creek and KY Route 8 west of Maysville, Kentucky.
Constructed for railroad cars to carry waste ash from the power plant to a landfill in 1977, the span was converted into a truck-only bridge in 1997. 1 The project required the removal of existing rails, ballast and walkway down to the plate girder beams, and the installation of new structural elements, concrete decking and gravel roadway.
