Sistersville Ferry

The Sistersville Ferry connects Sistersville, West Virginia to Fly, Ohio over the Ohio River. It is the only ferry remaining along a 277-mile section of the Ohio River between Ohio and West Virginia and the oldest ferry in the state of Ohio.1

In 1999, a new $780,000 vessel was put into operation, nearly doubling the capacity that it could carry previously: one tractor-trailer or eight cars.1
