The Lee Street Bridge carries Lee Street and US Route 60 eastbound over the Elk River in Charleston, West Virginia. It consists of a steel through arch main span and two girder approach spans.
The federal Public Works Administration (PWA) contributed funds towards the construction of the Lee Street Bridge as project W. VA. 128 F. 1 2 Designed by the National Engineering Company, it was built by the Mt. Vernon Bridge Company between 1938 and 1939.
The bridge was rehabilitated in 1999, which included deck replacement and the installation of new steel sections, floor beams, and stringers. 2
