The Hibbs Ford Bridge is a pin-connected Pratt through truss that carries East County Road 375 South (Devil Backbone Road) over Deer Creek in Putnam County, Indiana.
In April 1906, county commissioners approved detailed specifications prepared by A. A. Lane for a bridge at Hibbs Ford and scheduled a contract letting for May 15, appointing Lane as superintendent and engineer of construction. 1 Henry H. Runyan and Squire J. Hurst were awarded a $674 contract to build the concrete abutments, while the Attica Bridge Company of Attica, Indiana, submitted the lowest bid for the 90-foot truss superstructure with a 16-foot roadway at $1,131. That July, the county contracted with William and James Mahoney for $930 to construct the approaches.
The abutments were completed in early August, with the remainder of the bridge finished in October. 1
The bridge was rehabilitated in 2006.
