Hey! Love these pictures. I’m researching some of my family heritage, and we’ve known about this bridge only through pictures, but I’ve not had a chance to visit. My name is Rudy Brannon, and my great great grandfather was Oliver Brannon, who had settled right near that bridge with his father Thomas P. Brannon, one of the original settlers of Calhoun County. Early to mid 1800s. It’s possible they were responsible for the original construction back then, but I don’t have any hard evidence. If you happen to have any additional information on this bridge, such as older pictures, history or anything, we’d be delighted to know more. We also had a family home built at the end of Brannon Hollow, which we are also looking for info about. It’s all in the interest of preserving info for future generations!! I’m building a Brannon family library here in Atlanta, GA where I’m based. Thanks for your time, please feel free to reach out! email or phone.
