About Poor House Underpass
The Poor House Underpass is a stone arch tunnel that carries Poor House Road under the Valley Railroad in Rockbridge County, Virginia. The crossing was completed in 1883 and used until 1942 when the Valley Railroad was abandoned between Staunton and Lexington.
