Erie Canal Lock and Dam E25

Lock and Dam E25 includes a lock along the Erie Canal and a movable dam across the Clyde River in Mays Point, New York.


The lock and movable dam were constructed in 1918 as part of the expansion of the Erie Canal via construction contracts 45 and 46B. 1 The movable dam included the construction of a120-foot Pratt truss superstructure that could lift the barrier across the Clyde River six feet vertically.
