Gandy Bridge

Gandy Bridge

The Gandy Bridge connects Whitmer Road to a farm over Gandy Creek in Randolph County, West Virginia.

The one-lane Pratt through truss was constructed in 1900 by the Canton Bridge Company of Canton, Ohio to carry Whitmer Road over Gandy Creek. Whitmer Road was later rerouted to the south bank of the stream and the bridge was repurposed to serve a homestead. It has since been retired from active service and remains open for pedestrians.
