Shinn Covered Bridge

Shinn Covered Bridge

The Shinn Covered Bridge is a covered Burr arch truss over West Branch Wolf Creek on Palmer Road in Washington County, Ohio.

The construction of the bridge in 1886 was spurred by the near-drowning of a child in a rowboat of the Charles Shinn family. E.B. Henderson was hired to build a fixed crossing which Shinn assisted in. 1 2

The Shinn Covered Bridge was last rehabilitated in 1998. 2
