The pin-connected Pratt through truss bridge, built by the Brackett Bridge Company based in Cincinnati, Ohio, was constructed in 1898. 1 The steel used for its construction was procured from the Bethlehem Steel Company and the Lackawanna Steel Company. Significant refurbishments were carried out in 1989, which included the replacement of all I-beams, both vertical and diagonal. the bottom plate at the end of the upper chord, the abutment seats, and the back wall on the bridge’s southern end.
