The Stone Arch Road Bridge carries Stone Arch Road over Nineveh Creek in Johnson County, Indiana.
In August 1885, the Johnson County commissioners decided to construct a wooden or iron bridge over Nineveh Creek to improve access for the Elliott and Pritchard families to the villages of Nineveh and Williamsburg. 2 During the contract letting in September, the county received two bids for the substructure and four for the superstructure. The commissioners awarded the masonry contract to James H. Pudney at $8.25 per yard and the iron superstructure contract to the Massillon Bridge Company for $1,205. Pudney completed the stonework by the end of the year, and the Massillon Bridge Company erected the trusses early the following year.
The Stone Arch Road Bridge was rehabilitated in 2011. 2
